HISA Calculator is free to use. It is paid for by referral commissions and ads. This page explains exactly how that works and how it does and doesn't affect what you see.
Referral links
Some links on the site are referral or affiliate links. If you click one and open a qualifying account or product, we may receive a commission or referral bonus. It doesn't cost you anything extra. Referral links are marked as sponsored in the page code, and the line “Partner links may earn a commission” appears next to rate buttons.
We currently have referral links for:
- KOHO, through its referral program
- EQ Bank, through its referral program
- NEO Financial, through the Fintel Connect affiliate network
- Wealthsimple, through its referral program
- Credit cards, through a Ratehub referral link on our credit cards page
Some of these are refer-a-friend programs, where the institution may also offer you a sign-up bonus. The institution sets those terms, so check them before you apply. All other bank links on the site go straight to the bank's public website and don't earn us anything.
Advertising
The site uses Google AdSense, so Google may display ads on our pages. Google selects the ads, not us. An ad for a financial product is not a recommendation from us. See our Privacy Policy for how ad cookies work and how to opt out.
How rankings work
Our rate tables and offer lists are ordered by rate or by estimated interest earned on the amount you enter. Whether an institution pays us has no effect on its position, and we list institutions whether or not we have a referral relationship with them. You can re-sort the tables yourself.
Our reviews and pros and cons reflect our own opinion. No institution pays for, reviews, or approves what we write.
